2023 Moonlight Walk Event
Registration closed. On September 18, 2023, experience Point Lobos like never before! Enjoy a sunset, music, and walk by the light of the moon at the only after-hours event within the Reserve. Watch the sun dip into the Pacific Ocean, listen to the barking Sea Lions, and explore the trails by the light of the moon. Guests will be treated to music by Andrea's Fault and have full access to the Reserve's trails during this after-hours event, exclusive to members of the Point Lobos Foundation. Photo: Susan Lambert
Folktale Supper Club benefiting the Point Lobos Foundation
Join us for an evening of culinary delights and fun to benefit Pt Lobos Foundation on Wednesday, May 10th, 2023. This special intimate event will feature a selection of specialty curated buffet style dishes by our Executive Chef Justin Robarge. Our award winning wines will be available for purchase by the glass or bottle. This event held in our Wine Garden will also feature representatives from Pt Lobos Foundation, games and so much more!. Point Lobos Reopening
Point Lobos will reopen Wednesday, January 18th. There are areas of the Reserve that will be kept closed until permanent repairs are completed. Please be aware of the following trail closures: South Shore segment just south of Piney Woods coastal parking lot to Bird Island, Mound Meadow Trail, Gibson Beach staircase, and Moss Cove.
Monterey County Gives!
Thanks to the support of 284 donors, the Point Lobos Foundation exceeded our goal for the Monterey County Gives! campaign. Donations made through this campaign will get a pro-rata match determined by the performance of the overall campaign. Monterey County Gives! is an annual end-of-year giving campaign encouraging support for local non-profits. Thank you to the Monterey County Weekly, the Community Foundation for Monterey County and the Monterey Peninsula Foundation for this opportunity to reach our local community. Art Appreciation Day at Point Lobos State Natural Reserve!
Members of the Monterey Bay Plein Air Painters Association were stationed on the trails at Point Lobos State Natural Reserve this past Saturday. Visitors were welcomed to watch these artists as they created memorable artwork. The artwork created Saturday is for sale and a portion of the proceeds benefit the Point Lobos Foundation.
