Planning Your Visit

A little planning can help you get the most out of your trip, and the pages in this section can help you plan.

First, please take note that we have certain expectations from our visitors in order to preserve Point Lobos for future generations.  Please take heed of the guidelines in Visitor Expectations.

This section also provides suggestions on what to bring with you and where to get help when you are here.  It also describes two facilities you might want to visit, the Information Station at Sea Lion Point and the Whalers Cabin museum at Whalers Cove.  You can also learn here about docent-led walks that can enhance your experience.

If you have physical disabilities, we have four ADA-compliant trails, mostly with spectacular views.   We also offer Easy Access Adventures twice per month, designed particularly for disabled visitors.
